Local Attractions

Located in Centre County, Camp Breac is just outside of Bellefonte, PA.; only a short drive to Penn State University and close to all PSU activities. As you can see from the photos, Camp Breac, also known as the Spring Creek House, is a great place for folks of all ages to pursue their passions in a beautiful setting. The grounds and house are situated stream side of Spring Creek and within the upper reaches of Spring Creek Canyon adjacent to SR 550 and West Water Street. The stream and adjoining tributaries are 16.8 miles long and join the Bald Eagle Creek and lake at Howard, PA.

Conveniently located within the Camp Breac, with plenty of seating both inside and out, Victoria’s Tavern and Sitting Room can be enjoyed all year round. Outside the tavern, enjoy easy access to Spring Creek via the “Stairway to Heaven” or “Hump’s Walk” access points, along with many others. You can also fish many other local streams with are easily accessed from Camp Breac as well as utilize some of our local fishing guides. Enjoy many other outdoor activities in and around the area.

A thriving, local community of skilled experts, craftsmen, artists, and outdoorsmen support and enhance the experience of everyone who comes to visit and stay at The Spring Creek House.

Local historians, such as Local Historia, and artists stop by. You are welcome to come set up your easel or do nature photography or art work. Enjoy the plethora of flora, fauna, birds and critters that are sure to spark your creative touch.

When you stay at Camp Breac, the combination of convenience and tranquility will all be at your fingertips. The local town of Bellefonte offers everything you may need from dining, grocery stores, shopping, state and convenience stores as well as great gear for anglers or for anyone to enjoy the outdoors.
